Saturday, 11/1/25, Greenwood is hosting a fencing tournament in the Event Center, 10:00AM-1:00PM.
Come and cheer on our two Greenwood students who are competing: Mimi Shaw and Sullivan Shaner. A total of 15 students will complete in the 3 different categories: Foil, Epee and Saber.
The Greenwood Speech & Debate team had an incredible showing at the Deana Butcher Classic Speech and Debate tournament held at Willard High School! 34 schools from across Missouri, including several from the Kansas City area and Columbia, attended the largest tournament of the season so far.
Next up - the team will be competing at the Republic Invitational on November 7-8. Go Jays!

Kindergarten and First Grade students have Zoo in the Room.
Third and fourth grade scientists had some guests from the zoo to learn about inherited traits and life cycles! Dr. Geurin enjoyed meeting a chinchilla, an animal his grandfather once raised! Thank you to Mike Crocker for taking his time to share his knowledge of animals with our students!
The 2025 Greenwood Lady Jays golf season came to an end today with the conclusion of the MSHSAA Class 2 State Golf Tournament. Three Lady Jay golfers participated in the 36 hole tournament, which was held at Meadow Lake Acres CC in New Bloomfield, MO. Out of a field of 90 golfers, Dylan Lee (SO) carded a 207 and finished in 49th place. Ruby Brothers (FR) finished in 59th place by shooting a score of 217. Gwyndolyn Gelner’s (Jr) 237 placed her in 77th place. Extremely difficult course with high winds made the tournament a challenge but Greenwood represented our school well! Congratulations ladies!
