Today marked the last day of school for the Greenwood Class of '23! It was celebrated with a Memories Assembly and the Senior Run Through, as well as a signing for Senior Nick Burri, who will be attending William Jewell to continue his basketball career. Seniors, you will be missed in our halls, but we look forward to seeing everyone at Graduation on Sunday!


Trenton Zarechi is our next Senior Grad! Trenton is interested in Minnesota State Community and Technical College, where he looks forward to choosing his path of study. Thank you for being such a big part of our Bluejay Family!

First Grade Students have been learning about Inspiring Americans in our community, city, state, and United States! Students selected a person they wanted to learn more about and research. After reading about the American, students practiced beginning research skills, delving deeper to discover adverse circumstances that led to becoming someone who could inspire others. They then created a paper bag book and wrote speeches to share about the Inspiring American during their presentation to friends and family. Awesome job First Grade!



Mrs. Fearing's 6th Grade Science Class learned about the power of chemical reactions by performing volcanic eruptions. The Bluejays "lava" science!!

The 7-12 grade choir earned two perfect scores and a Gold trophy! Wow! Congratulations to Mark Lawley, a tremendous director, and these wonderful students for showing off their hard work!

Kindergartners are learning about fairy tales and folk tales! After reading "The Three Billy Goats Gruff", students were given a STEM challenge to build a bridge to get the billy goats safely across the river.

Last week, the 5th graders learned how to open combination locks in preparation for the move up to 6th grade. So exciting!



Dylan Zheng, Greenwood 4th grader, competed in the Math League state championship on Saturday. He got 1st place in sprint, 2nd place in number sense, and 2nd place in individual totals. He’s qualified to go to the National final. He did the team contest problems too and got the most scores, so Greenwood is the 1st place in 4th grade in the state.
