Aurora is the Hedgehog of the Week! She brought her parents, Victor and Jessica, to share about Portugal. Students learned how to do Rancho dancing while Aurora’s dad played the accordion. And each classmate got a Portuguese flag and a special dessert, Serradura. Thank you, Aurora for a fun and interesting presentation!

First and Third Grade students visited the Missouri State University campus. They went to the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, then they went to the Department of Finance, Economics, and Risk Management. Students had a great time learning about new topics from coding to banking! At the end of the trip, each student was presented with a certificate for attending and brought home some fun MSU swag ☺️💙 Thank you MSU!

Wow! Our marching band knocked it out of the park this weekend! We were so impressed with Dr. Sheri Slater and our band marching in the Missouri State University Homecoming parade. Thank you, Dr. Slater, for organizing and making this happen! Thank you to Student Council sponsor Jacob Anderson and Coaches Jay Osborne and Kris Flood for getting our students out to walk along with the band. Thank you to Thompson Cadillac for providing the convertible for administration and our Homecoming Court to ride in! It was a great day for Greenwood and Missouri State pride!

Greenwood’s Archery Team hosted the Fall Classic 3D and Bullseye Archery Tournaments over the weekend.  For many archers it was their first tournament and we loved seeing so many Bluejays participating and supporting one another.  Thanks to all the archers and families that made the event a success.  We had several archers with personal bests and our students earned 14 medals.
