“I always consider that the shape of the future is in our hands. The past is the past and can’t be changed, but the future has not yet arrived. Young people have the opportunity and responsibility to shape it by creating a better world.” — Dalai Lama

Greenwood Laboratory School,

Greenwood Laboratory School,

Established 1908, Missouri State University Department of Education

Oh Greenwood Alma Mater Dear,
Thy loyal sons revere thy name,
And cherished memories year by year,
While ceaseless voices sing thy fame.

At Greenwood Laboratory School we encourage students to build a well-rounded resume as a foundation to their future endeavors.  Greenwood offers a variety of co-curricular options and we support students in their multiple activities.  We encourage 100% of our high school students to be involved in at least one co-curricular activity.  Not only does it help build their resume, but it also assists in belonging and being a part of something bigger than themselves.  Being involved can decrease anxiety and depression tendencies and increase social skills, time management, discipline, work ethics, goal-setting, and most importantly develop and enhance coping skills. Plus, you only go through high school once!  Embrace your opportunities, represent, and BE INVOLVED!
