On Friday, Greenwood Rho Kappa students traveled to Kansas City to visit the Steamboat Arabia museum. The Arabia sank in 1856 in the Missouri River. Its immaculately preserved artifacts were excavated in 1988 and are housed in the museum. They toured the museum and completed a service project as the museum prepares to move. What a wonderful opportunity for our students!

Students' 100th Day of School was on Friday!

Kindergarten through Fifth grade celebrated their 100th day differently.
First Grade Students celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up like they were 100 or how they would have dressed 100 years ago.
Students took over the cafeteria where stations were set up and used a ten frame to count items, tally, and create a 100 Item Snack. The students also performed several challenges to see how many times they could skip, hop, Hula-Hoop, jump rope, do push-ups, bounce a ball, do jumping jacks, or run in place for 100 seconds! Stacking cups to 100 was a fun collaborative activity.
Thank you to Mrs. Montileone’s second block class for helping students count and move to stations. Students helping: Elle Stalzer, Evan Stalzer, Jarrett Mars, Matthew Monteith, Minh Truong, Gary Shi, Thomas Lin, and Gabriel Colvin.

Happy 100th Day!
