Elementary Basketball Camp!
These Lady Blue Jays were All District, All Sectional, and earned the honor of competing at the State Meet. At State only the top 16 of Class 1 competed in each event. Hannah Richards, Aicha Diouf, Shriya Miller, Sophia Sechler and Ally Johnson were there for the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relays. Aicha also ran the 200 meter dash. And Elif Benzer competed in the 1600. These girls are six of Greenwood’s Track and Field season winners. Congratulations, way to represent!!
The BASEBALL JAYS are headed to the Quarterfinals! They will play Cooter on their HOME field (Barnhouse) at 4:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24th. Let's all pack the stands and support our Baseball Jays!

Greenwood Elementary celebrated the end of the 22-23 school year with a Last Day Party! There was everything from slides, obstacle courses, airbrush tattoos, games, and more. It was a great time with even better Bluejay friends! Thank you to all of the Greenwood parents who helped organize this event and supervise the kiddos. We wish everyone an AWESOME SUMMER and can't wait to see you all again next year!!
5th Graders gave other elementary students a “break” from their studies this week as they recited chosen poetry. As a culmination activity from their poetry unit, 5th Graders practiced public speaking and were definitely creative and engaged citizens!
Miss Springfield, Katie Farr, visited with the 2nd & 5th Graders on Wednesday! She focused on positive body image, reading a book while the students drew a positive self portrait and wrote why they loved their bodies. Katie is a student at Missouri State University and is currently serving as Miss Springfield within the Miss America Organization. Mrs. Martin & Mrs. Flanders enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate again this school year!
